Recycling & disposal of WEEE, batteries and packaging
Disposal of old electrical equipment
Old electronic devices contain both valuable resources that can be recycled and pollutants that can lead to major environmental problems if not disposed of properly. For this reason, consumers are legally obliged to dispose of old electronic devices properly.
All electrical and electronic devices that are affected by this regulation must be marked with this symbol. It indicates that the device in question should not be disposed of with household waste at the end of its service life, but should be disposed of at an approved collection or return point.
As a dealer of electrical and electronic devices, AKUSTIK-PROJEKT is legally obliged to take back old devices in normal household quantities free of charge, regardless of whether they were purchased from us.
Disposal of Batteries
Batteries and accumulators contain valuable resources and pollutants. For this reason, consumers are legally obliged to return them to approved collection points. Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with the residual waste.
Used batteries and accumulators can be returned free of charge to municipal collection points or recycling centers or to any store where batteries/accumulators are sold.
All types of batteries are affected, regardless of shape, size, mass, material composition or use. The law also applies to batteries that are built into or attached to products.
Disposal of packaging
As an online retailer, AKUSTIK-PROJEKT is aware of its responsibility for packaging and therefore does not only rely on environmentally friendly packaging materials. We often use packaging several times or dispose of it professionally.
As a distributor of packaging, we are registered with a dual system. The legal requirement to participate in a dual system is regulated by Landbell AG, Leko and European Recycling Platform (ERP) Austria GmbH.
